Our Regular Online Webinars

We host regular educational events that are open to everyone that would like to attend, where we and guests share information that can be helpful to those that are needing to or are thinking about planning a funeral, or indeed those that want to learn about becoming a funeral director or already work in a funeral care related profession.  We used to host these events face-to-face but the online webinars have made the sessions even more accessible, to as many people as possible.

Our webinars are held at 11am on the second Thursday of the month and last for approximately one hour. They are hosted via Zoom and you can find the links to them below.  Participants are encouraged to ask questions, engage with the material and speak openly and honestly about funerals, death and dying.  However, if you prefer you can just listen and absorb without speaking or even turning your camera or microphone on at all..

We believe that with the right information and support people can create funerals that are helpful and have a positive effect on long-term well-being.  The more we know about what is possible, the more likely we are to be able to make choices that are right for us.  Please get in touch if you would like to find out how to attend, have a question or would like to be guest speaker in our 2021 webinar series.

How do I create a greener funeral?

Thursday 14th September 2023 11am

Sarah Jones, Founder Full Circle Funerals

What is a greener funeral?

The environmental impact of a funeral can be measured by adding up the impact of each individual choice made.  Until recently, there has been no expert, independent and publicly available information about the relative impact of these choices. Thanks to community-funded research, we now have access to data that can help you make greener choices.

The research was carried out by experts (Planet Mark) using Life Cycle Analysis on two key elements of the funeral process: the impact of different coffin materials and body committal/disposal options.

In this webinar, Full Circle Funerals founder, Sarah Jones shares the results of this work and considers how we can use it to move towards greener, net zero funerals.
